Infinity Steel™ Bass Strings

Product #:  GHSISBS
Brand:  GHS
Description:
Coated Roundwound Stainless Steel
GHS uses the finest of raw materials and then uses a finely-regulated coating process called MST (Metal Surface Treatment). This unique technology coats the outer wires which are then wrapped around a high quality core wire maximizing tone and endurance.

String Design
The GHS string specialists bring a craftsman-like approach to every aspect of string design. Everything from materials selection to the intricate factors such as core-to-cover ratio, winding direction, wire tension and alteration of the wire, GHS designs state-of-the art strings to enhance the sound quality of every playing style and instrument. And with continuing research, GHS develops string innovations that anticipate trends and instrument modifications all over the world.

String Manufacturing
At GHS,  state-of-the-art equipment is absolutely necessary! All the strings at GHS are made on machinery that is designed and built in-house. The design engineers at GHS utilize the latest technology to develop computer controlled string making machines that monitor every intricate parameter such as the number and type of twists on the ball end, winding speed and direction, core and cover wire tension, and cover wire angle and wind length. Modern quality control ensures that every product meets GHS's rigid specifications.

Innovation at It's Best
Since 1964, the founders of GHS have brought a wealth of string making experience to a small family-owned business. Today, GHS is a leader as a top brand in the global market, thanks to their dedicated staff trained and experienced in string technology. The innovation trend continues with such developments as the ìBrightness Barî (found on select string packages and designed to show what strings will produce which tones), the close collaboration with key artists (who often actually provide direct input during the string design process for Signature strings), and their ongoing efforts to create new and exciting product.

By combining their years of experience and their reputation for quality, GHS will continue to provide the best strings for players worldwide for years to come. When looking for performance from your strings, look to GHS Strings, the Strings Specialists!

Sensitive materials are are wrapped in protective bags for storage. Coiled strings are placed in string packets that have proven to offer maximum protection from humidity. Swift order shipment ensures that GHS strings arrive "Factory-Fresh."

Which Bass Strings will fit my Bass?
Bass string lengths tend to vary because of the nature of their heavy diameters. Strings cannot just be cut to length without causing harm. They CAN be cut carefully on the "silk" for minor shortening. Heavier gauge strings are especially critical because they may break at the tuning post if the winding is wrapped too far around the post. GHS makes 5 different lengths to fit most basses. "Winding length" is the distance from the ball end to the "silk", where the "scale" of the bass is the distance from the saddle to the nut.
